Alteox, a leading content solutions provider based in Luxembourg, has partnered with Parabole Maurice to revolutionize the hospitality industry’s entertainment offerings. This collaboration was showcased at the prestigious Hotel World exhibition, held recently in Mauritius, where industry leaders from around the world gathered to explore the latest innovations for the hotel sector. Event Highlights The Hotel World exhibition in Mauritius attracted key figures from the hospitality industry, eager to discover solutions that cater to the needs of modern travelers. Alteox and Parabole Maurice used this platform to present a new way for hotels to deliver TV channels and entertainment to guests. The event featured a notable collaboration between Jimmy Hope, representing Parabole Maurice, and Sven Breckler, CEO of Alteox, who demonstrated cutting-edge solutions that are set to transform hotel entertainment across Mauritius and the Indian Ocean region. "Hotel World is focused on the suppliers and buyers in the hotel sector, and we are very happy to be present here," said Jimmy Hope. "Parabole Maurice has been serving Mauritius for 25 years, and this time, we are proud to present our collaboration with Alteox, bringing forward unique and innovative solutions for the hotel industry."

Innovative Hotel TV Solutions for Modern Travelers

At the heart of the event was the introduction of the "Surf by Parabole" app, developed in collaboration with Alteox. This innovative application is designed for smart TVs found in hotel rooms (compatible with Android, Samsung Tizen, LG Webos and Vida systems). It offers hotels the ability to stream international TV channels directly to in-room TVs without the need for additional hardware, cables, or headend equipment. Sven Breckler, CEO of Alteox, highlighted how the partnership will allow hotels in Mauritius to offer premium European channels—such as those from Germany, France, Russia, and Turkey via smart TV apps or OTT (over-the-top) streaming services. Guests will be able to enjoy their favorite channels from various countries, enhancing their stay by providing entertainment in their native languages. "Together with Parabole Maurice, we’ve developed solutions that cater specifically to the hospitality industry," Breckler explained. "Hotels can now provide guests with direct access to international TV channels, not just in their rooms but also on their mobile devices, tablets, and around the hotel, whether by the pool, at the gym, or at the bar."

A First for Mauritius and Beyond

What makes these solutions even more impressive is their flexibility and scalability. Not only will tourists be able to access international TV content in their hotel rooms, but thanks to Alteox's cutting-edge technology, guests will soon be able to stream content directly to their personal devices. Whether they are lounging by the pool or enjoying a drink at the bar, guests can access a wide range of TV channels from across the world. This innovative service is not just new for Mauritius - it is a pioneering solution for the hotel industry globally. "This is a first in Mauritius and even in many other countries," said Jimmy Hope. "Mauritius has truly taken the lead with these groundbreaking solutions, and we are proud to offer them with Alteox."

Multi-Device Access: The Future of Hotel Entertainment

As hotels strive to offer personalized and flexible experiences, Alteox and Parabole Maurice are ahead of the curve. Their multi-device access feature allows guests to view TV content on a variety of devices, including tablets and smartphones. This service ensures that guests can continue enjoying entertainment no matter where they are within the hotel premises. According to Breckler, "Multi-device streaming is the future of hotel entertainment. Guests no longer need to be confined to their rooms to enjoy their favorite shows, they can bring the entertainment with them, whether they’re in the gym or by the pool."

A Growing Success

This new service is already making waves in the region, with four hotels in Mauritius having signed up for the service within a few months of its introduction. The future looks promising, as more hotels across the Indian Ocean islands are expected to adopt this service in the near future. Parabole is currently leading the charge in the region’s hospitality sector, offering these services as part of its growing portfolio. "We’re thrilled to be the first to bring these innovative solutions to Mauritius,"said Hope.
